Steel Battalion Cadets conquered the Obstacle Course (O-Course), pushing past physical and mental limits with determination, grit, and teamwork. Every obstacle challenged their strength, tested their resilience, and reinforced what it takes to lead under pressure.

No hesitation. No excuses. Attack every obstacle, push beyond your limits, and lead from the front! 💪🔥

The Steel BN is proud to announce the CDT of the Month: CDT Colucci!

CDT Colucci reflects what it means to be a Scholar, Athlete, and Leader. Academically, CDT Colucci holds a 3.5 GPA, has made the Dean's List, and is part of an academic honors society. He has also worked two internships since coming to college, including one for a current State Senator. As an athlete, Cadet Colucci has led the Running Team for the past two semesters, helping Cadets improve their cardiovascular endurance through making workout plans, and leading them in races such as the Fallen Comrades half marathon and the Norwegian Foot march. Cadet Colucci’s leadership is not just represented in the battalion where he is the RT Captain and a Squad Lead, but also in the Lehigh University community. Cadet Colucci holds E-Board Positions in three different clubs including the President of the Armed Forces Support Club. He has worked diligently for the improvement of the battalion including helping out in orientation, serving as a mentor for his squad, and always making himself available for events such as color guard and recruiting. He is always dependable whether it is doing his Battalion tasks or driving four Cadets to PT each morning. Overall, Colucci is a model cadet who serves and represents our battalion.

Excellent work CDT Colucci, way to set the standard! 🔥

The Steel Battalion stays elite! 🙌

Congratulations to CDT Zach Ironside on his completion of the 28-day Sapper Leader Course located at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. This physically and mentally demanding course tests a soldier’s knowledge of combat engineering, patrolling and mountaineering.

We would also like to congratulate Moravian alum 1LT Connor Houghton ‘24 (second photo; right) who also completed the course! 1LT Houghton is a previous Steel Battalion Commander and participated in Ranger Challenge. He currently serves in the 10th Mountain Division. 🏔️
