This cartoon says it all.
Look at that guy. Feet up, remote in hand, recliner fully reclined. Right outside his window, his neighbors are walking into the polling place. He just hopes somebody else will handle it.
That's the trap. Every Republican who stays home on November 3 is handing a vote to the Democrats. Midterms are won and lost on turnout, and the other side is counting on that recliner.
We cannot afford to sit this one out.
Democrats got trounced in 2024. Voters rejected open borders, runaway spending, and a party that treated working families like an afterthought.
They didn't listen. They spent two years screaming instead.
Their agenda has not changed one inch. The same progressive wish list voters threw out is sitting on the shelf, waiting for the gavel. Hand them the House and they will try to bring it all back.
And this time they brought new friends.
The Democratic Socialists of America is no longer a fringe club yelling from the sidelines. It has endorsed about two dozen candidates this cycle, including four running for Congress. Their vision is simple: government runs everything, and your paycheck pays for the "free stuff."
Its own members say communist caucuses have held a majority on its national committee since 2023.
So what did Democratic leadership do when a Mamdani-backed nominee in New York was caught with old posts praising communism and Lenin? They shrugged. Hakeem Jeffries changed the subject. Leadership offered her a "clean slate."
That is not a party drawing a line. That is a party making room.
Don't take our word for it. Democratic Senator John Fetterman warned in August that his own party is drifting toward people who praise Mao and Cuba, and that it should stop pandering to the fringe.
When a Democrat is sounding the alarm, Republicans have no excuse to hit snooze.
Democracy is on the line, and self-government only works when citizens show up. Staying home is not a protest. It is a gift to the other side.
No excuses. Get out of the recliner and vote red on November 3.
