The Bethlehem Health Bureau (BHB), officially founded in 1980, ensures the health of the Bethlehem City community by utilizing the three core functions of public health: monitor health status to identify community health problems, diagnose and investigate health problems and health hazards in the community, and evaluate effectiveness, accessibility, and quality of personal and population-based health services. For 30 years, the Bethlehem Health Bureau has strived to ensure the core functions of public health for the City of Bethlehem. We continue to assess the needs of and assure services to our community and educate the public in the areas of:
•Injury and Disease Prevention
•Communicable Disease
•Maternal/Child Health
•Environmental Health
•Public Health Preparedness

Our strategies correspond with the goals established by Healthy People 2020, a set of health objectives for the Nation (www.healthypeople.gov/About ). We value our community partnerships, both individual and group, and look forward to working with you to meet your needs. C.O.R.E. Health is the Bethlehem Health Bureau’s mobile health and community outreach program, bringing services and resources directly into neighborhoods across Bethlehem.
C.O.R.E. stands for Care, Outreach, Resources, and Early Prevention.
Through our Mobile Health Clinic and community partnerships, services may include health screenings, immunizations, sexual and reproductive health services, health education, referrals, community resources, and more.

This past weekend, the Bethlehem Health Bureau had the pleasure of joining St. Paul Baptist Church for their Community Health & Wellness Fair!

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with health resources, screenings, community connections, giveaways, and plenty of fun for the whole family. We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect directly with residents, share important public health information, and help make health resources more accessible in our community.
