October is Friends of the Library Month in Citrus County - a time when we pause to send a HUGE thank you out to the people who dedicate their time and efforts to supporting Citrus Libraries! โค๏ธ

Our Friends help build community awareness of Citrus Libraries, encourage people to visit the library for materials and programs, and support staff and other volunteers every chance they get. Their contributions including coordinating book sales in the Fall and Spring, sponsoring programs and prizes throughout the year, and being an overall champion of Citrus Libraries.

On Monday, the Citrus Libraries team got together for a full day of professional development and staff training! During this meeting we heard from Community Services Director Eric Head and Library Director Adam Chang, were guided and challenged by presenter Diana Silvera, and given updates on current and upcoming programming being taught by our amazing Instruction & Research Librarian team.

We also had the opportunity to celebrate staff milestones! Congratulations to everyone recognized - combined you all have given more than 90 years of service to Citrus Libraries and our community! Thank you for your commitment to our patrons!!
