🎄 REAGAN COUNTY, LET'S SPREAD SOME CHRISTMAS CHEER! 🚒

The holidays are right around the corner, and Reagan County Fire & EMS is excited to kick off our 2nd Annual Reagan County Toy Drive!

Last year, our little community showed just how BIG its heart really is! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our neighbors, local businesses, and volunteers, our very first Toy Drive was a wonderful success. Now we're ready to make Christmas special for our Reagan County kids once again!

🎁 LET'S FILL THOSE TOY BOXES!

Starting next week, your local firefighters and medics will be out spreading Christmas cheer by placing toy collection boxes at businesses throughout our community!

We're collecting new, unwrapped toys to help bring smiles to children right here in Reagan County.

Our community collection boxes will be picked up the week of December 14, so be sure to drop off your donations before they're collected!

🚒 CAN'T MAKE IT TO A COLLECTION LOCATION?

No worries! We also have a toy donation box located in the foyer at the Reagan County Fire Station, available anytime for anyone wishing to drop off a donation!

❤️ NEED A LITTLE HELP THIS CHRISTMAS?

We know the holidays can be tough, and sometimes a little extra help makes all the difference.

🚨❤️ HAPPY NATIONAL FIRST RESPONDERS DAY! ❤️🚨

Today, we want to recognize and thank ALL of our first responders here in Reagan County who answer the call, show up when their community needs them, and put others before themselves every single day.

From our law enforcement officers and dispatchers to our volunteer firefighters, EMS crews, and everyone who serves on the front lines — thank you for the sacrifices you make, the long hours you work, the time you spend away from your families, and the courage you show even when the job isn’t easy.

And, of course, a special shoutout to our Reagan County Fire & EMS family! 🚒🚑 We are proud of the men and women who serve this community with compassion, dedication, and heart. Whether it’s the middle of the night, a holiday, or a moment when someone is having the worst day of their life, you answer the call. You show up for our neighbors, our friends, and our families — and that means more than words can express.

Being a first responder is more than a job. It’s a commitment to serving others, standing together, and being there when it matters most.

To every first responder who serves Reagan County: We see you. We appreciate you. We are proud of you. And we are thankful for you! ❤️💙

From our RCFEMS family to yours, thank you for all you do to keep our community safe. Stay safe out there, and never forget that your community stands behind you! 🇺🇸

🚒❤️ We had the joy of spending time with our local Library group this morning!

We loved getting the opportunity to teach them a little about the fire service, answer questions, and give them a tour of our trucks. Seeing their excitement and curiosity reminds us why being involved in our community is so important!

We truly love spending time with our community and getting to share what we do with the next generation! 👩‍🚒🔥📚

Thank you for having us! ❤️

🚒❤️ A BADGE THAT REPRESENTS OUR COMMUNITY ❤️🚒

We’re excited to introduce the new Reagan County Fire & EMS badge!

This badge is more than a new design. It was custom created with our community in mind, with the addition of the 🦉 owl to create an even stronger connection to the people and youth we serve.

Reagan County has a proud history built by the generations who came before us, and we’re honored to carry that tradition forward while supporting the generations still to come.

Our community is made up of families, friends, neighbors, and young people who make Reagan County special. This badge represents that connection — our commitment to the community, our support for our youth, and the pride we have in serving the people of Reagan County.

Honoring our past. Serving our present. Supporting our future. 🦉❤️🚒

We’re proud to wear it and more proud to serve Reagan County.

🇺🇸 SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 — NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Some days change a nation.
Some moments change a generation.
And some sacrifices are never forgotten.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember the morning our country stood still.

We remember the people who went to work that morning and never came home. We remember the husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors whose lives were taken far too soon.

But as firefighters and EMS providers, we especially remember the men and women who heard the call and ran toward the chaos.

They didn’t know if they would make it home.
They didn’t know what they were walking into.
They only knew that someone needed help.

So they went.

They climbed stairs while others came down.
They carried strangers to safety.
They treated the injured.
They searched for the missing.
They held the hands of people who were afraid.

And so many of them never walked back out.

That is something those of us who wear this uniform will never forget.

Because every time the tones drop, there is a moment when we leave our families, climb into a truck or ambulance, and head toward someone else’s worst moment.

And every time, we hope to come home.

That is the promise we make to each other.

We go together.
We look out for one another.
We never leave one of our own behind.

The men and women of September 11th showed the world what courage looks like. They reminded us that being a first responder isn’t simply a job — it’s a calling, a responsibility, and a promise to serve even when the cost is greater than anyone could imagine.

Today, Reagan County Fire & EMS remembers those who were lost, honors those who sacrificed everything, and stands beside the families who have carried their loss for 25 years.

To the brothers and sisters who answered the final call:

We remember you.
We honor you.
We carry your legacy.
And we promise to keep answering the call.

🇺🇸 25 years later, your sacrifice still matters.
Your courage still inspires us.
Your names still matter.
And you are still not forgotten.

Rest easy, brothers and sisters.
We’ll take it from here. 🚒🚑❤️‍🩹🇺🇸

🌊❤️ WHEN THE CALL COMES, WE WILL BE READY. 🚒🚑

This weekend, members of Reagan County Fire & EMS spent their time doing something that may never make the news, may never be recognized by the public, and may never be seen by the people we serve — they trained.

A few of our members participated in a Swift Water Rescue class in Junction, learning skills that could one day make the difference between someone going home to their family or not.

That is why we train.

Because we know that when the phone rings, it may not be an easy call. It may be someone trapped in rising water. It may be a family desperately waiting for help. It may be a situation that requires us to go beyond what we already know and beyond what feels comfortable.

And when that moment comes, we don’t want to hope we’re ready. We want to know we are.

We are incredibly proud of EMS Director Morrow and EMT Brick for representing Reagan County Fire & EMS during this training and for continuing to invest their time, energy, and heart into becoming better responders.

But most of all, we are proud of the people behind the uniforms.

The men and women who give up weekends.
Who sacrifice time with their families.
Who train when they could be resting.
Who continue learning long after they have earned their certifications.
Who answer the call when others are running the other way.
And who willingly put themselves in difficult situations because someone else needs them.

That is what makes Reagan County Fire & EMS more than a department.

We are a family.

And like any family, we look out for one another, we push one another to be better, and we stand together when the hardest moments come.

We don’t train for recognition.
We don’t train for praise.
We train for the person we haven’t met yet who may someday need us.

We train for the mother praying her child comes home.
For the husband waiting for his wife.
For the father who needs someone to reach his family.
For the stranger who doesn’t know our names but knows they need help.

And when that call comes…

We will be there.
We will be prepared.
We will give everything we have.

Because this isn’t just a job.

This is our community.
These are our people.
And this is our family. ❤️🇺🇸
