🚧 A 13-Year Journey — And We’re Finally Here! 🚧💧

Pleasant Hill Public Service District is excited to officially announce that our Norman Ridge Water System Extension Project is now OUT FOR BID!🥳

After 13 years of planning, preparation, funding, engineering, approvals, and hard work, this project has officially reached a major milestone. What started more than a decade ago is now moving forward toward construction!

The project includes approximately:

💧 4,950 linear feet of 8-inch waterline
💧 15,000 linear feet of 6-inch waterline
💧 2,500 linear feet of 4-inch waterline
💧 19,600 linear feet of 2-inch waterline
💧 Storage tank and associated improvements

📅 Bids will be received until October 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

There have been a lot of steps, a lot of paperwork, and a LOT of patience along the way — but seeing this project officially go out for bid is something worth celebrating. ❤️

13 years in the making. One huge step closer to making it a reality. 💦

We’re proud to see this project move forward and look forward to what it will mean for the future of our water system and the communities we serve.

Here’s to progress! 🚧💧

UPDATE: We were able to get the generator running so we are now pumping water again.

08/12/2026

Due to a 3-phase failure at the Town Hill Pump-house we are unable to pump water at this time. Currently there is a company coming to check the generator so that we may be able to use it in the event the power cannot be repaired in a timely manner.

In the meantime, you may experience low pressure or a complete outage while we wait for the power company to access our 3-phase power.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have this remedied very quickly.

Update: Our men worked all afternoon/evening jackhammering the rock to be able to replace the pipe. It was finally installed by 10pm, but they could not test the line since they couldn’t see if there were any leaks.

They are heading back this morning to finish up, turn the water back on to test and fill it in if all goes well.

We appreciate your patience as this has been quite the job with the small crew we have, but they’ve done an amazing job getting this taken care of!

There was a big leak discovered at the Munday tank site and we are unable to start the repairs until tomorrow morning. The valves at the tank site and the Yellow Creek intersection have been shut off until repairs can be made due to the amount of water loss. There’s a possibility customers will experience a service outage during this time. Please conserve water as much as possible and we will update more tomorrow.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time.

The telemetry system that operates the pump for the Campbell Hill tank has temporarily failed. Customers who are experiencing low pressure or no water near the Frederick Drive/Campbell Hill area should have water restored by this evening. We are manually pumping and the tank has begun filling as of an hour ago.

Anyone who lost pressure or water service will be on a boil water advisory until further notice.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the system repaired so that this isn’t an issue moving forward.
