This project is about so much more than building homes. It’s about rethinking how we create affordable housing, opening doors to new opportunities, and building a model that has the potential to transform housing development throughout Montana.

We are incredibly proud to see this innovative work recognized on the national stage! This award celebrates the vision, collaboration, and dedication behind a project that is helping shape the future of housing in our state.

🏡 Bringing Montana’s Housing Challenges Into Focus — One Community at a Time!

MHC’s Legislative Housing Tour is helping connect Montana’s lawmakers with the local housing providers, projects, and community leaders working to address housing needs across our state.

Last week, MHC members welcomed Billings-area legislators and candidates for a roundtable discussion at Falcon Run Community Room, followed by a tour of Pheasant Home Apartments.

These visits offer a firsthand look at the challenges communities face in expanding housing opportunities, while creating meaningful conversations about the financing, infrastructure, workforce, and policy barriers that impact housing development across Montana.

✨ Why do these tours matter? Because understanding our communities’ housing needs starts with seeing the challenges, hearing local perspectives, and learning about the solutions already underway.

A big thank-you to MHC members, Don Sterhan, Patti Webster, and Amber Parish for helping make this another successful event in Billings!

We look forward to continuing these important conversations and working together to expand housing opportunities for Montanans across the state.
