Ready to get your hands muddy and learn the magic of the pottery wheel?

This six-week beginner wheel throwing course is designed for anyone curious about clay. Whether you've never touched a pottery wheel or tried it once years ago, you'll learn step-by-step in a supportive and welcoming studio environment. Throughout the course, students will learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including clay preparation, centering, opening, pulling walls, trimming, and finishing techniques. We'll explore how to create functional pottery such as bowls, mugs, cups, and other everyday forms while building confidence and developing new skills each week.

Our goal is not perfection. It's learning, experimenting, and having fun while creating something with your own two hands. All skill levels are welcome, and plenty of guidance will be provided throughout the course. No experience required.

Students are required to pay an additional $50 to instructor on first night of class for 25-pounds of clay and access to studio glazes and tools. Cash, check or cards accepted. Classes held at

This course prepares you for entry-level construction jobs by covering safety, tools, construction math, drawings, materials handling, rigging, and employability skills.

Individuals will earn OSHA 10 certification and National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) credentials.

The cost of the course is $100 and upon successful completion of the program assessments (Knowledge & Skills) with a 90% attendance rate or higher individuals will earn a graduation gift to help them launch their career.
