Tactical Tuesday. Training today. Ready for tomorrow.

Airmen from the 815th Airlift Squadron sharpened their tactical airlift skills during training at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, conducting airdrop operations designed to keep aircrews proficient and mission ready.

For Air Force Reserve Citizen Airmen, opportunities like these are critical. Regular hands-on training allows aircrews and support personnel to practice the coordination, precision and decision-making required to safely deliver personnel and equipment where they’re needed—even in challenging operational environments.

From mission planning and aircraft preparation to executing the drop, every training sortie builds experience, strengthens teamwork and reinforces the readiness needed to answer the call.

The 815th AS, part of the 403rd Wing, operates the C-130J Super Hercules and provides tactical airlift capabilities in support of Air Force requirements around the globe.

A quarter of a century has passed, yet our promise remains unchanged. We Will Never Forget.

Today, we pause to honor the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the enduring legacy of the heroes who ran toward danger that day.

We will never forget the sacrifices, and we continue to fly, fight, and win in defense of our nation. 🇺🇲

MISSION | Labor Day becomes a well-deserved homecoming

Our Airmen returned home this weekend following a deployment supporting airlift and mobility operations throughout the U.S. Africa Command area of responsibility.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the contributions of those who work hard to keep our nation moving forward.

After months of dedication, long hours, and time away from family and friends, this holiday brought something these Airmen have earned: time to rest, reconnect, and, most importantly, be home.

Welcome back, Airmen. Your work mattered. Your sacrifice mattered. And now, the rest is well-deserved. 🇺🇸

Training Meets Readiness

Tactical Combat Casualty Care is a pre-deployment requirement provided to Airmen with the hope they’ll never need to use those skills.

For seven 75th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron maintainers from the 403rd Wing at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, currently deployed to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, that readiness was tested in the early hours of June 14.

During their shift, the team discovered a Japanese Self-Defense Force member who had collapsed into a roadside drainage channel during physical training. He was suffering from severe heat exhaustion and appeared unresponsive.

What started as a routine night quickly became a medical emergency—and a real-world test of readiness.

Their TCCC training helped them respond when it mattered most. 🇺🇸✈️
Click below to read more about their experience.

Through Air Force Forces Generation, all Airmen receive Tactical Combat Casualty Care training as a pre-deployment requirement, with the hope that they will never actually have to use it. However, the reality of military deployments and their locations could require Airmen to utilize those skills.
