We are so proud of all the firemen that have shown up to fight the Gracemont fire. All of the men and women showing up to protect and serve really showcases how amazing they are. I also want to let you know how wonderful it is to see everyone rally around us to support the firefighting operations. Your donations mean more than you know and is helping everyone stay in the fight. We are going to keep praying for rain, the safety of all our first responders and for the ones who lost their homes.

We’d like to take a moment to thank Wheeler Chevrolet of Hinton. Binger Fire Department was selected to participate in the nationwide 2026 Chevy First Responder program, thanks to Wheeler. Through this program, we received a $1,000 sponsorship check!

We’re thankful to be a recipient of this wonderful program again and appreciate the support of our community! Thank you, Wheeler Chevrolet and Chevrolet!

After fighting one of the largest fires in our district in a while, we discovered some things we could use to help us. We asked for help and boy did we get it! I want to take a moment to say thank you to Links Lawn Equipment in Mustang for providing us with two new chainsaws!

I also want to thank CKenergy Electric Cooperative, Inc. for their donation to our department and their support of fire departments in their service areas.

Thank you to everyone that has supported us with drinks, snacks, rehab supplies, monetary donations, prayers and anything else you have given.

This has been a wild summer for all firefighters across our state and we truly appreciate everything you have done to keep us going strong.

Caddo County extended the burn ban yesterday for 14 more days. Please be cautious of anything that could start a fire.

Does anyone have a good playlist for songs about rain? I’m going to play it all weekend!

On another note, we had another grass fire at cr1180 and cs2630. Thank the lord above, this one was responded to quickly and several departments like Cogar, Lookeba, BIA and Caddo Nation had our backs! Thanks to this wonderful response, the fire was very limited in size.

We have still been patrolling the lines on the Sugar Creek fire and things are continuing to improve there. I hesitate to call it completely out, but we are certainly getting closer.

Well, we spent another day on the fire lines. We discovered several hot spots that needed some attention and had one minor flare up. The clouds seemed to help us in a big way, not only was it slightly cooler, but the sun wasn’t causing a bunch of new hot spots to flare. We have now had wind from all directions with today being the strongest. It kicked up a lot of ash which made it harder to determine what was smoke or ash. At one point, there was an ash tornado nearly 60 ft tall! Hinton Fire Department offered to take the watch this evening and allow our guys to get some much needed rest, thank you very much for that! I’m starting to feel like we are getting closer to this thing winding down. Tomorrow, Caddo Nation fire department is going to give us a hand watching the fire until our guys get home from work and can take over. I’m so thankful for all of the support we are getting from the community, friends and family. Your prayers, text, phone calls really do mean a lot to us!
