On Labor Day, we celebrate the American labor movement and acknowledge workers’ contributions to the growth and success of our nation. Today, we have Labor Day as a holiday thanks to trade unionists who proposed that a day be designated to honor the efforts of laborers as the trade union and labor movements gained momentum in the late 1800s.
