Registration for the ACCES-VR Mediation Training on October 19, 2011 is currently open. Only the ACCES-VR Mediators who were trained in April 2011 are currently qualified to mediate ACCES-VR cases, so if your center does not have any ACCES-VR mediators, or if you have very few, I would strongly encourage you to send mediators to this training.

What is Mediation? Mediation is a process of talking aboaut issues or problems that helps people resolve disputes. Instead of avoiding the problem, fighting or going to court, people involved in a conflict meet with at least one neutral mediator to search for solutions that are acceptable to both sides.

New York State Agricultural Mediation Program (NYSAMP) offers farmers, other agricultural producers, and members of the agricultural community options to resolve problems promptly and conveniently, without involving outside authorities.

Early Intervention Mediation Program assists families of infants & toddlers with developmental disabilities and Department of Health Early Intervention Officials to agree on services needed for the child’s Individualized Family Service Plan.

Lemon Law Arbitration Program offers an independent, efficient and fair forum to settle disputes between consumers whose new, used and leased vehicles turn out to be "lemons" and the vehicle manufacturer. This program has been expanded to include wheelchairs and motorcycles.
