Alondra Nelson, acclaimed scholar and writer, holds the Harold F. Linder Professorship at the Institute for Advanced Study. Her influence spans government, organizations, and society at large.

Formerly serving as deputy assistant to President Biden and acting director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Nelson has made significant strides for equity and integrity. She was recognized in TIME100's inaugural list of influential people in artificial intelligence in 2023, and her impactful contributions extend to the social implications of genetic technologies explored in her award-winning book, "The Social Life of DNA."
