Our little Elfster enjoyed Chop & Chat today! She received all the ingredients for a delicious soup recipe and enjoyed visiting with her friends while chopping up the ingredients. It's a wonderful program through The Broome County Council of Churches and Faith in Action Volunteers: Broome County Council of Churches Chapter.

🍎 FOOD SECURITY ADVOCATE (BINGHAMTON, NY)
Summer 2024 – Summer 2025

The Broome County Council of Churches (the Council) Food Security Advocate will have a lead role in acquiring food to support healthy futures through our efforts to eliminate food insecurity working with the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW) and our non-profit grocery store the Greater Good Grocery (GGG). The position will also assist with community engagement/education efforts. The candidate will write and report on food related grants and participate in recruiting local community organizations to host food drives.

🍎 DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR (BINGHAMTON, NY)
Summer 2024 – Summer 2025

The Broome County Council of Churches (the Council) Development Coordinator will have a lead role in fundraising efforts to support healthy futures through fundraising efforts to eliminate food insecurity, ensure older adults are safe and able to remain in their homes and to a lesser extent support the efforts of our jail and hospital programming to work with hospitalized and currently incarcerated and recently released residents in Broome County. This position will assist with all aspects of fundraising such as writing grants, creating fundraising appeals and newsletters and helping with donor engagement efforts.
