The Boone Area Library’s mission is to provide a wide variety of materials and events, which reflect the culture of our community and serve to entertain, educate and inspire lifelong learning relevant to all. Our collection contains over 25,000 items and includes DVDs, Audiobooks on CD, large print books, popular magazines, and the newest Fiction and Non-fiction titles.

🤩 What a weekend!

🏕️ Our FIRST EVER Campout at French Creek State Park was a HUGE success!

We traded our books for sleeping bags and headed into the great outdoors for a night full of adventure, laughter, and a little mystery! 👣👀

From kayaking on the water 🛶 to hunting for Bigfoot, (AND ACTUALLY FINDING HIM! 😱🦶)
We had an unforgettable time filled with camping fun, outdoor adventures, and memories made under the stars! 🔥✨

A BIG thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our first-ever campout such a fun experience! (Especially our favorite Park Rangers!) ❤️📚

🐄💛 MEET OUR COW: HERA! 💛🐄

Say hello to Hera! 🐮 Our adopted Holstein cow was born on August 17th and is the daughter of Pine Tree and Tadpole!

Hera’s farm home is Walmoore Holsteins, a dairy farm that has been caring for cows and producing milk for over 115 years! 🥛🐄

Her caretakers and farmers, Walt and Charles, help make sure Hera and the rest of the herd are happy, healthy, and well cared for. ❤️

We’re so excited to follow Hera’s journey and share more updates about our special library cow! 📚🐄

October 24th 6-7:30 PM

Get ready for a night of safe trick-or-treating throughout the library! 🍬🕷️

Come dressed in your favorite costume and explore the library for:

🇺🇸 PA Senator Satellite Office Hours

Wednesday, Oct. 7th 11-1 PM - Join representatives from the state senators office for free assistance on a multitude of topics including:
SEPTA Senior Citizen Cards ,Birth/Death Certificates, Property Tax/Rent Rebate, PACE/PACENET, Handicap Plate/Placard, and PennDot REAL ID.

🩸Blood Pressure Screening 🩺

Wednesday, Oct. 7th 2-4 PM - Stop by the Library in the Community Room for a free blood pressure screening provided by Tower Health.
NO scheduled appointment required.

🎨 Spooky Sip and Paint 👻

Thursday, Oct. 8th at 6:00 PM. Come in for a fun paint night with a twist! Instead of canvases we will be painting fancy paving stones with a halloween theme! Tickets are $20 per person.
Registration is required and space is limited.
Please feel free to bring w**e and snacks!

📖 Story Time on Wednesday, September 30th, will be held at Main Bird Park at 10:15 AM.

🚑 Join us, TowerDirect Ambulances and their first responders for a touch-a-truck story time.

Children will have the opportunity to learn more about ambulances and ask questions in this fun, hands-on story time experience!

Don't forget to bring a stuffed animal for a special teddy bear check up! 🧸🩺

No registration required.
