❤️ A Special Moment of Appreciation ❤️

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, AARP Central Birmingham Chapter 4668 had the honor of presenting Mayor Randall Woodfin with an Honorary Membership in our chapter.

This special recognition was our way of expressing our sincere appreciation for the Mayor’s support of our chapter and his commitment to our Birmingham community.

We especially appreciate his support in making our 3rd Annual Health Fair at the Bill Harris Arena at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

It was truly a memorable moment for our Chapter, and we are grateful for partnerships that help us continue our mission of serving, making a difference, and giving back to our community.

🎉❤️🥂 35 YEARS STRONG… AND WHAT A CELEBRATION IT WAS! 🥂❤️🎉

WHEW!!! 😍🙌🏾 Last night was EVERYTHING and MORE! Our AARP Central Birmingham Chapter 4668 celebrated 35 YEARS of service, and let me tell you… A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL! 🎊💃🏾🕺🏾

The fellowship was beautiful, the atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, and the smiles, laughter, and love filled the room! ❤️✨ It was truly a night to remember as we celebrated our journey, recognized those who have helped make a difference, and reflected on the impact our chapter continues to make in the community.

Thirty-five years of serving, uplifting, empowering, and making a difference is something worth celebrating! 🎂🏆💐

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who worked behind the scenes, everyone who attended, and everyone who continues to support our chapter. YOU helped make this milestone celebration EXTRAORDINARY! ❤️👏🏾

DAY 7 — WEDNESDAY 🏡❤️

Our final morning came way too soon!

After continental breakfast, we loaded up the bus and began our journey HOME to Birmingham!

We enjoyed lunch along the way and made our usual rest stops before continuing our final stretch home.

And after seven days of traveling, sightseeing, eating, laughing, shopping, exploring, making memories, and enjoying one another’s company…

WE MADE IT HOME! 🏡❤️

What an AMAZING NYC adventure! 🗽🚌❤️

I truly enjoyed our trip, and I hope everyone else did too. We saw so many incredible places, made wonderful memories, and shared plenty of laughs along the way.

But let’s be honest…

NEW YORK CITY is HUGE, and there is NO WAY you can see everything in one trip! 😂🗽

It seems like just when you get started, it’s time to head home!

DAY 6 — TUESDAY 🚌❤️

We enjoyed our continental breakfast before checking out and hitting the road again.

Along the way, we stopped for lunch before arriving at National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

We had some free time to explore and enjoy the attractions on our own, including:

🎡 The Capital Wheel
🌊 The Potomac River
🎰 MGM National Harbor
🛍️ Tanger Outlets

Everyone had the opportunity to grab dinner at a restaurant of their choice before we continued on to our hotel in Roanoke, Virginia, for our last night on the road.

And just like that… we were getting closer and closer to HOME. 🥹❤️

DAY 5 — MONDAY 🗽⛴️

After breakfast, we headed out for another exciting day of our NYC adventure!

Today was a BIG one! We visited Statue of Liberty Island 🗽 and Ellis Island, followed by lunch and the final portion of our guided NYC tour.

But the day wasn’t over yet! 😉

We departed New York and headed to LaReggia Banquets & Events, located inside the Meadowlands Plaza Hotel, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner buffet, entertainment, music, and fellowship! 🎶🍽️💃🏾

And let me tell you…

WOW!!!
WE HAD AN AWESOME TIME! 🎉🎉🎉

There was plenty of eating, drinking, (tea and water that is) laughter, fun, dancing, and good times shared with our travel family. ❤️😆💃🏾🕺🏾💧

DAY 4 — SUNDAY 🗽🍎

Another morning in New York! ❤️

After continental breakfast, we headed out for another day of our guided NYC tour.

There was plenty more to see, experience, and enjoy before stopping for dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company 🦐.

And of course… we couldn’t be in New York City without spending some more time in Times Square! 🗽✨

After enjoying our free time, we headed back to the hotel 🏨 to rest up for another exciting day.

DAY 3 — SATURDAY 🗽❤️

Rise and shine! ☀️ After continental breakfast, we headed out for our guided NYC tour!

And WOW… we saw SO MUCH! 😍

Our adventures took us through some of New York City’s most famous sights, including:

📍 9/11 Memorial
📍 Central Park
📍 Times Square
📍 Rockefeller Center
📍 Wall Street
📍 Grand Central Station
📍 World Financial Center
📍 South Street Seaport
📍 Chinatown
📍 Little Italy
📍 Greenwich Village
📍 Fifth Avenue

We enjoyed dinner at Dallas BBQ, followed by some free time to explore Herald Square and Macy’s Department Store.

Then it was back to the hotel 🏨 for a good night’s sleep 😴🛌💤 because we had MORE NYC ADVENTURES waiting for us the next day!

DAY 2 — FRIDAY 🥐🚌

We started our morning with a continental breakfast before getting back on the road.

We continued our journey toward Whitehall, Pennsylvania, enjoying lunch and making a rest stop along the way. After dinner at Golden Corral, we continued on to our hotel, which would be our home base for the rest of our tour.

After all that traveling, it was time to get some rest because NEW YORK CITY was waiting for us! 🗽🍎
