💜 Today’s Lifting Voices, Breaking Silence event was a powerful reminder of the strength found in community, conversation, and support.

We were privileged to host a live taping of the I Love Me More podcast featuring Dr. Jamila T. Davis, Yandy Smith, and Tara Wallace at this year's event. 🎤🗣️✨

Hearing their stories resonate with our residents, alongside powerful audience testimonies was truly impactful.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and we’re coming together for a powerful conversation about healing, survival and breaking the silence.

Join me, Dr. Jamila T. Davis (Dr. Jamila T. Davis), my co-host Tara Wallace (Taranasha Wallace) and special guest Yandy Smith (Yandy Smith) for a LIVE taping of I Love Me More!

We’re proud to be part of Lifting Voices, Breaking Silence, presented by the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (Birmingham Housing Authority), in partnership with the City of Birmingham (City of Birmingham Government) and community partners.

Creating safer communities means making room for survivors’ voices, prevention, accountability, healing and access to meaningful support. This is an opportunity to come together, connect with resources and remind one another that we don’t have to navigate healing alone.

Saddle up! 🤠🐴 Our young residents at Elyton Village came ready to ride at this year's Eerie Spooky Riders!

Big thanks to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, High 5 Birmingham, and UAB - The University of Alabama at Birmingham for putting on such an incredible experience.

We are so grateful for community partnerships that keep our young people adventurous, engaged, and inspired. Who knows… we might just have some future Sheriff's Deputies in the making! 👮‍♂️⭐🐴

What a day! 🌟 Hundreds of job seekers showed up at Bill Harris Arena ready to work, and our community delivered! 💼

From on-the-spot interviews and conditional job offers to free professional clothing distributions, lives were changed today. 📝👔

We are so grateful to all the employers who showed up to hire, invest, and empower our residents and the community alongside our great partners at the City of Birmingham!
