The Glen Iris Neighborhood Association meeting HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. The Full November Newsletter was sent out this morning via email, and is attached as images to this post.
The neighborhood meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 6:30 PM. To attend in person, please join us at the St. Elias Church Parish Hall (836 8th St S, Birmingham, AL 35205). To attend virtually, please join us on zoom.
This change has been made for two primary reasons.
First, since the City announced the delay for the citywide neighborhood association elections, Alice Speake, our neighborhood Secretary, has submitted her resignation. We have received a copy of the October meeting, and will work to send out minutes. We appreciate everything Alice has done for the association the past two years, and everything they will continue to do for the neighborhood in their other roles.
Second, the Birmingham Water Works Board is hosting their annual Public Hearing on their budget tonight (more information attached). The neighborhood association encourages residents to attend this public hearing.
At next week's meeting the Community Resource Service Division will make an official announcement about the officer vacancy and election. We will also spend time reviewing the proposed rezoning map of the Southside Community. We look forward to seeing everyone during our next meeting!
If you have any questions, please email the association at [email protected].
