Codependency can look like always being the “strong one,” the fixer, the helper, and the peacekeeper… while quietly ignoring your own needs.
What it can look like:
People-pleasing. Difficulty saying no. Fear of rejection. Feeling responsible for everyone’s emotions. Staying in unhealthy relationships. Guilt when you choose yourself.
Help looks like:
Therapy. Boundaries. Support groups. Learning to say no without explaining everything. Rebuilding your identity outside of others.
Loving people should not require abandoning yourself.
You matter too.

DAY 16 – Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)
Obsessing over flaws others may not even notice.
The mirror becomes exhausting, and reassurance never feels like enough.
What it can look like:
Constant mirror checking. Comparing yourself to others. Hiding certain body parts. Excessive grooming. Avoiding pictures. Low self-esteem. Feeling “not good enough” no matter what others say.
Help looks like:
Therapy, especially CBT. Learning to limit reassurance seeking. Reducing mirror checking. Supportive care. Sometimes medication may help when anxiety, depression, or obsessive thoughts are involved.
You are more than your appearance.Your worth is not measured by a mirror.

DAY 15 – Alcohol Use Disorder
“It’s just one drink…” until it starts affecting everything.
What it can look like:
Drinking more than planned. Needing alcohol to relax, sleep, or cope. Hiding how much you drink. Mood changes. Blackouts. Withdrawal symptoms like shakes, sweating, anxiety, or nausea.
Help looks like:
Therapy. Support groups. Medical detox if needed. Medications like naltrexone or acamprosate. A strong support system.
You are not weak. You are worthy of recovery.
You can break the cycle.

DAY 14– High-Functioning Depression
Looks fine… feels empty.
What it can look like:
Showing up for work. Smiling in public. Helping everybody else while silently falling apart. Feeling numb, tired, unmotivated, or disconnected. Losing interest in things that once brought joy.
Help looks like:
Therapy. Honest conversations. Rest. Support. Medications 💊 .
You can be “functioning” and still need help.
You don’t have to fake okay.

Not just about food.Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions that affect the mind and body.
What it can look like:Restricting food. Binge eating. Purging. Obsessing over weight or calories. Body image distortion. Excessive exercise. Shame around eating.
Help looks like:Therapy. Nutrition support. Medical monitoring. Support groups. Sometimes medications can help with anxiety, depression, or binge eating behaviors.
Recovery is possible. 💚

DAY 11 – Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
Intense emotions that can feel impossible to control.
Relationships may feel overwhelming loving deeply one moment and feeling hurt or abandoned the next.
What it can look like:
Mood swings. Fear of abandonment. Impulsive behavior. Unstable relationships. Anger outbursts. Feeling empty. Self-destructive behaviors.
Help looks like:
Therapy (especially DBT). Support systems. Emotional regulation skills. Medication for related symptoms when needed.
