At OVE, we believe growth never stops!

Each year, Principal Dr. Love treats our new teachers and their mentors to lunch to reflect on the year, celebrate successes, and set goals for the future. He also meets one-on-one with every staff member to discuss accomplishments, aspirations, and plans for the upcoming school year.

We are grateful for leadership that values relationships, reflection, and continuous improvement. 💜💛

💜💛 Annual Jaguar Day! 💛💜

Jaguar Day is always a highlight of the year at OVE! From games and activities, to laughter and unforgettable memories, our students had an amazing time celebrating another successful school year together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special day so much fun for our Jaguars!

Our 5th grade teachers rewarded students with their annual end-of-the-year field trip to the roller skating rink! 🛼🎉
The students had a blast celebrating their hard work, friendships, and final elementary school memories. What a fun way to close out the year!

💜The House of Dreamers celebrated our amazing 5th graders with treats and certificates as they prepare for middle school! We are so proud of these student leaders and the positive impact they have made on our house. We will miss them and wish them all the best!

The OVE Attendance Team concluded its final celebration of the year by recognizing scholars with Perfect Attendance for May! Students enjoyed a cool treat for showing up and finishing strong!

🍦🐾 Our final PBIS celebration was a sweet success! Students who exhibited ROARing behavior enjoyed an Ice Cream Social as a reward for their positive behavior.
Shout-out to Mrs. Little and the PBIS Team for making it happen! We also send a special “Thank You” to Shades Mountain Baptist Church for their continued support in rewarding our students💜💛

Our last House Rally of the school year was a great one!
We celebrated our Students of the Month and honored our final Teacher of the Month, Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Venita Grimmett. Congratulations 🎉 👏
We also had lots of fun playing Finish the Lyrics, and fittingly, Mrs. Grimmett took home the win! 🎶🏆

Special thanks to Ms. C. Cantelow and her team for an incredible year of House Rallies filled with school spirit, fun, and celebration. 💜💛🐾

💚 Our Jaguars proudly wore green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month! 💚

Throughout the month, our school community came together to promote kindness, wellness, and the importance of taking care of our mental health.

A special thank you to Counselor Royster for sharing daily mental health tips and encouraging our students and staff to prioritize their well-being.
