The garden will be back!!!

Come out for our Grand Opening on Wednesday, October 19th! There will be refreshments, entertainment, and a ribbon cutting!

We're baaaaack!!!!!!

Halleluyah!! Today is the first day of the restoration project of Shepherd Center East!! It's taking everything out of me to be so patient, but I KNOW it will be worth it!! We'll be better than ever!!

Six weeks have passed, waiting patiently for work to begin at Shepherd Center. Our seniors are missing their "home" but making the best of the situation at our neighboring Don Hawkins Recreation Center. In the meantime, some of our ladies are working on the annual gala quilt, to be auctioned off at Positive Maturity's Top 50 Over 50 event! Any and all material, even scraps, are greatly appreciated!! Post here or PM me and I will make arrangements to pick it up. Feel free to "share"!!

To all our Shepherd Center Friends,
As you probably know, Shepherd Center suffered significant flood damage from the Christmas night storm. The City of Birmingham has been wonderful to help us find temporary housing for our program -we are, for the time being, located at the Don Hawkins Recreation Center, just a couple minutes down the street from Shepherd Center.
Please know we are all doing everything possible to get back "home" as soon as possible! In the meantime, please continue to support Shepherd Center with your participation - exercise, line dancing, bingo, crochet and quilting, and THE BEST seniors are all here! To contact us, our temporary cell number is 205-224-2179. I always say, let's turn this lemon into some sweet lemonade!!
