We joined City of Irondale Mayor James Stewart to officially announce the launch of the Irondale MAX On-Demand Zone, arriving July 1, bringing more flexible, convenient transit options directly to the community.

This launch reflects what’s possible through collaboration, and we’re grateful to the Community Foundation and the City of Irondale for their partnership, support, and shared commitment to expanding access and connectivity.

Beginning June 6, ride throughout the Downtown zone every Saturday from 10 AM – 6 PM using the MAX Connect app. Whether you’re heading to work, brunch, shopping, events, or connecting to the rest of the MAX Transit system, MAX On-Demand makes getting around downtown Birmingham easy and convenient.
