We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of Mason Owens and BSA Troop 533 OMPC in replacing 100ft of cedar fencing at the Frankfurt Dr. entrance and building a new kiosk at the Hoist House.

It's inspiring to see our community come together not only to enjoy the park but also to help care for and improve it.

Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) is blooming at Red Mountain Park!

Take a walk or bike ride and check it out. You can find beautiful colonies along the BMRR South Trail, just past the Pollinator Garden when heading west. Milkweed is an important host plant for monarch butterflies and other pollinators.

Special thanks to volunteer extraordinaire Larry Stephens for creating the descriptive inserts in the mail tubes placed throughout the area.

Red Mountain Park is proud to support the incredible migration of the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus). 🦋
Each year, they travel thousands of miles and remind us of just how connected our ecosystems really are.

By protecting habitats and planting native species, we can all help keep this migration going for generations to come.
