We had a great time participating in Career Day at Russellville High School! We enjoyed meeting the students and sharing what a career as a Police Officer in this department is all about. We met a lot of bright, motivated young people and wish them well in whatever careers they choose!

Today the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office received grant funding from Norfolk Southern Railroad to purchase drones that will enhance our ability to serve and protect our community.
The check was presented to Sheriff Jon Daniel by former Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade, who now works with Norfolk Southern. We are grateful for this partnership and the continued support of those who believe in the mission of our office.
These drones will provide our deputies with advanced tools to assist in search and rescue operations, disaster response, and critical incidents, helping us respond more effectively and safely.
We appreciate Norfolk Southern’s investment in public safety and their commitment to the communities they serve.

Today, the Anniston Police Department received grant funding from Norfolk Southern that will be used to enhance and expand our drone program.
This investment is already making a difference. Just within the past week, one of our drones was successfully deployed to locate and guide a lost hiker to safety—demonstrating the real, life-saving impact this technology provides to our community.
We are grateful for Norfolk Southern’s continued partnership and commitment to public safety.
It was also a pleasure to visit with former Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade, who now serves with Norfolk Southern. Strong partnerships like these help us better serve the citizens of Anniston.
