10 local agencies, programs and projects were recognized as Community Project Grant recipients during United Way of Central Alabama's recent 2026 Blount County Campaign kickoff!

These grants will help organizations address local needs and strengthen services for individuals and families across the county.

Thank you to Publix for its generous support of Meals on Wheels!

Each weekday, Meals on Wheels employees and volunteers prepare and deliver nutritious meals along 68 routes throughout Jefferson County.

The program serves approximately 1,500 older adults each year, providing not only reliable meals but also meaningful connections.

Thanks to this grant from Publix Super Markets Charities, Meals on Wheels can continue making a difference in the lives of homebound seniors throughout our community.
