Ever wonder why the interstates seem to wind? Other than natural topography, interstates and other large projects required the destruction of minority and poor communities. At the bottom of many man made lakes are minority communities that were sacrificed and the people displaced.

We are celebrating musician Bro. Jimmie Lockhart on July 27th at 3pm. Many musicians serve our spiritual needs by helping us worship in church and even mourn at funerals, but when they’re in need, oftentimes there is no one to help them. So let’s help Jimmie!

We are planning our Empowerment program (formerly Mothers Day luncheon) to encompass strengthening our community. It will be a two day event featuring powerhouse speakers, activities, music and a complimentary luncheon. We encourage you to keep posted and let us know of your interest.
