Today, we proudly join the world to celebrate World Menstrual Hygiene Day , a day dedicated to breaking the silence, challenging stigma, and promoting menstrual health and dignity for girls and women everywhere.
Through interactive discussions and awareness sessions, we engaged girls and young women on understanding the menstrual cycle, proper menstrual hygiene practices, and the importance of confidence and self-care during menstruation. We also created a safe and supportive space where participants could openly ask questions, share experiences, and learn without fear or shame.
We were honored to have representatives from MINAS, MINPROFF, and the Tubah Council join us in supporting this important conversation and standing with girls and women in promoting menstrual health, dignity, and education within our communities.
As part of the celebration, the girls also received dignity kits to support them in managing their menstrual health safely and confidently. Seeing the smiles, excitement, and confidence among the girls reminded us why this work is so important.
At African Girls Foundation, we believe that no girl should miss opportunities, education, or confidence because of her period. Menstrual health is a human right, and together we can continue to build communities where every girl feels informed, supported, and empowered.
A big thank you to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful event. The work continues.
