If anyone has noticed an increase in deceased raccoons or other wildlife in your area, please let us know here in the commends or private message. One neighbor has reported 3 dead raccoons in the last month in and around their yard. Thanks!

Good morning Neighbors! The Christmas parade is just a week away and we have couple needs. Please read to the end! 😁We need a "sleigh" for Santa to ride in and are looking for someone that has a truck with an open bed that Santa could ride in. If you think you could help, please message us!

Second, does anyone have Turtlebox or some other outdoor, "loud" speaker that we could use to play Christmas tunes while we proceed through the parade?

Also, if you are still interested in participating in the parade with your special or unique vehicle, please reach out!

Rezoning update - Hoover Planning and Zoning sent the Conditional Use Request to the City Council with a “Do not recommend for approval”. The City Council will now hear the request and make the final decision. The P&Z only makes recommendations, not decisions. We will post further updates as they occur.

We have received a couple questions about a re-zoning meeting sign that is on Meadowbrook Road and Cumberland Trace. Tomorrow, December 1, at 6 PM the Hoover planning and zoning commission will be reviewing the request from the Islamic Academy for Conditional Use approval to operate a K-12 school and Community Center in Meadowbrook Corporate Park.

This is for the planning and zoning commission meeting, not for the city council at this time. Both the working session at 5:30 and regular meeting at 6 PM are open to the public.

Ok neighbors! Now that the turkey has been cooked and eaten, it’s time for Christmas! 🎄 And that means it’s time for our Christmas Parade! If you are interested in participating in the parade with your pickup truck, classic car, or something else exciting, please reach out! The parade is December 20th at 11am! We’ll provide the candy for you to throw during the procession.

Alabama Power relocating power poles, rebuilding lines as part of Valleydale Road widening - Shelby County Reporter Over the course of the next month, a portion of Valleydale Road is getting a major piece of work done in conjunction with its widening that is set to happen soon.
