Community Parks & Recreation Survey | City of Birmingham, Alabama 06/02/2026

Birmingham is planning the future of its parks and recreation system, and we need your voice to shape it. The City is developing a citywide Parks & Recreation Master Plan to guide investments, improvements, and priorities for parks, trails, greenways, and recreation programs through 2035. This plan is about more than green space. It's about sparking connection, play, health, and opportunity in every neighborhood. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts by filling out the survey in the link below.

Love seeing transformations like this happening right here in District 4, especially in Kingston.

This is a powerful reminder that change is possible when people invest back into our neighborhoods and see the potential in our communities.

I encourage residents to connect with the Birmingham Land Bank Authority.

One transformation can inspire an entire block.

🏡✨ It’s Property Transformation Friday! ✨🏡

Today’s feature is a home that looks COMPLETELY transformed! 👏🏽 Congratulations to our buyer, Melly Mel, for bringing new life to this property and showing what’s possible through vision and hard work.

What an incredible job well done! 🎉 Thank you for helping us keep Birmingham beautiful—one transformation at a time. 💚🏠

Woodlawn Theatre is a great example of how local spaces bring energy and connection to our neighborhoods. Supporting places like this helps strengthen our community and our local economy.

✨ Sip Small Saturday

This week we’re shining a light on Woodlawn Theatre, a historic Birmingham gem bringing community, creativity, and culture together.

From live performances to special events and gatherings, this space continues to be a place where stories are shared and memories are made in the Magic City.

Supporting small and local spaces like this helps keep Birmingham’s creative scene thriving. 🎭

📍 Add it to your list and experience it for yourself.

Our neighbors and friends showed up today.

In under 2 hours, we came together and removed 671 pounds of trash from our streets. That’s real care.
That’s real pride in where we reside.

Litter is not something we can ignore. It affects our health, our neighborhoods, and the future of our city.

Now let’s turn this into a standard, not a moment.

If you see it, pick it up.

Let’s keep District 4 clean, together.
