Proposed Tree Planting Plan for 40th and 42nd Street South

District 3 Residents,

I want to share an upcoming opportunity for residents to learn more about a proposed tree planting plan for 40th Street South and 42nd Street South.

The Birmingham Department of Transportation will present the plan at the upcoming Forest Park / South Avondale Neighborhood Meeting. This will be an opportunity for residents to hear directly from City staff about the proposed project, learn more about the plans for these corridors, ask questions, and provide feedback.

City staff have indicated that the plans can also be shared electronically following the meeting; however, attending the meeting will provide additional context and an opportunity for direct dialogue with the team working on the project.
