Green Corn Celebration 2026
On Friday, October 9th, the Ho-Chunk Nation held its annual Green Corn Celebration at the Tribal Office Building in Black River Falls.
Throughout the day, attendees enjoyed demonstrations in weaving, basketmaking, harvesting and traditional games. Everyone came together to share a delicious meal before ending the evening with the Green Corn Dance, which lasted a little over two hours!
A special thank-you to our dancers and singers for giving it their all and making it look so effortless. We would also like to thank Community Health, Agriculture, Maintenance, and Cultural Resources Division for assisting OOP in making this event possible.
Finally, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us and enjoy the day's activities and evening festivities. Your participation helped make this event a success. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves, and we look forward to celebrating with you again!
