We know winter storms can be challenging, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we continue to respond to the heavy snowfall. All Township roads have been plowed, but many will remain snow-covered until temperatures begin to warm. In prolonged cold, snow becomes harder to remove from the pavement, and salt is not effective below 15 degrees Fahrenheit.
Our crews have reported fewer vehicles parked along roadways, which makes a real difference in clearing operations! We appreciate the continued cooperation and support from our residents. If possible, please continue parking off street and avoid shoveling or blowing snow back into the road.

🌨️Due to the ongoing snow emergency, SWACO facilities are closed today, and Rumpke trash and recycling collection is delayed by one day this week.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH – Sheriff Dallas Baldwin has declared a Level 3 Snow Emergency for Franklin County, effective immediately on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The decision was made collectively by the County’s Snow and Ice Committee, which includes partner agencies such as the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), the Franklin County Engineer’s Office, the Franklin County Emergency Management Agency & Homeland Security and the City of Columbus.
A Level 3 Snow Emergency means: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless travel is absolutely necessary or a personal emergency exists. Employees should contact their employer to determine whether they are required to report to work. Individuals who travel on roadways during a Level 3 Snow Emergency may be subject to arrest.

With heavy snow and cold temperatures expected this weekend, our crews are gearing up and will be working around the clock to keep Township roads as safe and passable as possible.
You can lend a hand by keeping a few things in mind:
🚙 Park off-street when you’re able, so plows have room to work
🚫 Please keep snow out of the street when shoveling or blowing
🚒 If you need to park on the street, parking on the side opposite fire hydrants helps keep them accessible
🚜 Give plows some extra space and take it slow when traveling
Thanks for your help and patience as we prepare for the storm. Wishing everyone a safe weekend ❄️❄️
