Today at UCMS, in 8th grade GA History classes, students learned about personal and water safety. Students visited four stations. Game Wardens offered two of the stations: 4-wheeler safety and boating safety. The Fire Department offered the other two stations: fire safety where students learned how to use a fire extinguisher using the PASS acronym (pull, aim low, squeeze the handle, sweep side to side) and the components of the fire and rescue trucks. Thank you to everyone who made this day possible for our students!

We had great participation in our engagement activity following our last Title I event. Congratulations to our winners from the drawing of those who participated and for Dr. Miller's help in the coordination and planning of the event. Each winner received a Chick-Fil-A gift card. We are so proud of our students and staff.

Who knew hula hoops could teach government?! Mrs. Davis’ 7th graders had some fun comparing and contrasting parliamentary and presidential democracies using hula hoops! Some former students even stopped by to help out. Great job you guys!
