🍀 We are starting off the celebration for National 4-H Week a week early! 🍀

National 4-H Week (October 4-10, 2026) is a time to recognize and reflect on the many ways 4-H helps young people develop leadership skills, explore new interests, serve their communities, and grow in confidence.

We challenged our 5th and 6th graders at The Early County Elementary School to get creative and design a unique 4-H clover in one of three categories:

🐄🌱🐖🌽 Agriculture & Science 🔬🧬🧫🧪
🍀🗳️ Civic Engagement & Leadership 🇺🇸🎤
🍓🥑🍌🥒 Health & Wellness 🚴‍♀️🏊‍♂️🥾🏃‍♂️

We are so impressed with the results and we need the community’s help to choose our winners! 🏅

Winners will be announced during their monthly school 4-H club meeting and will receive a prize. Thank you for helping us recognize these talented students and celebrate National 4-H Week!!! 🍀

Join Early County 4-H for the 6th annual 4-H Day at the Georgia National Fair in Perry, GA, on Friday, October 16, 2026!🎡🎪🎟️

4-H'ers from across Georgia will enjoy a rally in Reaves Arena and get the opportunity to view 4-H displays and learn more about Georgia agriculture.

We want to take the time to shout out one of our 4-H'ers, Harper Sapp! This past weekend, Harper competed in her first goat show, the Rock Your Stock event in Marianna, FL. Harper got second in showmanship and was fourth in her weight class. What an amazing success for Harper at her first goat show! She gained a lot of new information and is looking forward to applying it at her next show, Peach State Labor Day Showdown, which takes place this Sunday in Perry, GA. Please join us in congratulating Harper and wishing her luck this weekend!

Who is ready to see what all the buzz is about? 🐝🦋🪰🐞🌷🪻🌺🌻

Early County 4-H is joining the Great Southeast Pollinator Census to make a difference simply by counting some pollinators! This event will take place on Friday, August 21 from 3:30-5 pm at the Early County Extension office. We will learn about the various pollinators we might see and then take a trip to a local farm in Bluffton. After 15 minutes of counting pollinators, we will return back to the Extension office for some refreshments.
