October is Public Power Month, and Blanding City is teaming up with UAMPS for a coloring contest for local students in 1st through 4th grade!

One winner per grade will receive a $25 Target gift card!

Entries are due October 31, and participants must be Blanding City power customers.

We are excited to officially welcome our new Mayor and City Council Member!

Trent Herring will serve as our Mayor, and Kendall Laws will serve on the City Council.

Both bring years of experience, knowledge, and a strong understanding of our community. We look forward to working together as we continue moving Blanding forward in a positive direction!

Blanding City Council will meet tonight (10/13/2026) at 6pm for their work session and 7pm for the regular session meeting. Council members will be listening to applicants for the vacant City Council seat. We encourage everyone to listen in!

Due to a mid-term vacancy, the Blanding City Council will appoint a new member to serve through the first Monday of January 2028.
