CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. CERT helps prepare community members with basic skills to safely assist themselves, their families, and their neighbors during emergencies and disasters when first responders may be busy handling other calls.

Who can get involved?

Anyone interested in learning new skills, being better prepared, and helping their community! No previous emergency response experience is needed to reach out and learn more. There is a place for everyone!

What happens next?

We’ll be working on the next steps to build our CERT program and plan to start reaching back out to interested individuals next week or the following week.

ATTENTION MOTORISTS: I-69 northbound at the 94.5 mile marker in Greene County will be closed, late Sunday (October 19th) afternoon as construction workers move barrels to open a new lane. The lane with the developed hole will be closed for more permanent repairs. Northbound I-69 traffic will be rerouted from the Bloomfield exit at US231 to SR58 and ultimately to SR45 which will allow for northbound access to I-69.

Lows will fall into the mid to upper 30s tonight with clear skies and light winds, setting the stage for areas of frost. This can damage sensitive vegetation.

ATTENTION HOOSIER MOTORISTS: I-69 northbound at the 94.5 mile marker in Greene County is now open as a temporary patch has been put place. Work crews will return at noon to make permanent repairs. A traffic detour will be put in place while permanent repairs are made.
