Eastern Greene Fire Territory Announces Ambulance Relocation to Improve Community Coverage

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving emergency services for the communities we serve, Eastern Greene Fire Territory has partnered with Greene County Ambulance Service to relocate a county ambulance to our station located near Eastern Greene High School.

Both agencies believe this location will provide a more centralized position within the service area, particularly in an area that experiences a higher volume of emergency calls on average. By positioning the ambulance in this location, we hope to improve response coverage and better serve the emergency medical needs of our residents.

This move reflects our shared commitment to working together, making the best use of available resources, and continually looking for ways to strengthen emergency services throughout Greene County.

Another great weekend of training for Eastern Greene Fire Territory!

While some of our members were sharpening their skills and practicing rope rescue techniques, others were working hard through an accelerated EMT course.

Training in different disciplines helps strengthen our department and ensures our members are prepared to serve our community when they are needed most.

We’re proud of the dedication our members continue to show by giving their time to learn, train, and improve. Great job, everyone! Thanks Air Evac Lifeteam 39 - Brazil, IN for flying in and assisting with the training and Panther Ridge Gun Club for hosting.

Eastern Greene Fire Territory would like to congratulate Kyle Britton on successfully completing his training and becoming an Advanced EMT (AEMT)!

This is another great accomplishment for Kyle and another step forward in our commitment to providing quality emergency medical services to the citizens of our rural communities.

This morning, Eastern Greene Fire Territory crews responded to a reported structure fire on N Lawrence Hollow Drive.

Crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire. The incident remains under investigation. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

We would like to thank the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, Greene County Ambulance Service, and Monroe Fire Department for their assistance.
