📈 **A proposed 2027 county budget increase of $5.9 MILLION!**

💰 **County property tax levy up 23.2% from 2022 to 2025!**

⚠️ **An attempted County Board pay raise, stopped by fiscally conservative Republicans!**

These are serious concerns about the direction of county government.

**McLean County doesn't have to follow the same path.**

We need elected officials who put taxpayers first, demand financial accountability, control spending, and focus on the essential services our families depend on.

**The qualifications deserve a side-by-side comparison.**
Even Mr. Crockett admits Kathy Michael has provided good safe elections to this county.
Choosing our McLean County Clerk means choosing the person responsible for elections, public records, staff leadership and taxpayer dollars. This position demands practical experience, sound judgment and a thorough understanding of the office’s responsibilities.

Kathy Michael brings nearly 16 years of direct experience leading that office. Joshua Crockett’s background in constituent services, campus civic engagement and college board oversight offers a substantially shorter and limited record of experience.

Campaign promises deserve scrutiny. What would his proposed changes cost? How would they affect experienced staff? How would essential services and election safeguards be maintained throughout the transition?

Voters deserve detailed answers before entrusting someone with these responsibilities. Political theater should never overshadow a careful examination of qualifications, costs and consequences.

**This is a serious job with real responsibilities. Republicans need to support Kathy Michael because her depth of experience matters—and McLean County deserves capable, experienced leadership.**

If you don't go vote you can only blame yourself if we end of with poorly managed elections and records.

You do have to ask the right questions and follow the breadcrumbs to discover the Socialist roots in groups like Citizens Action whose endorsement was gladly acknowledged by our local Democrat candidates. The deep socialist policies promoted by the group seems not to bother those wanting our vote. Have not seen any of the Democrats step away from socialism. If you want to stop the voice of socialism growing stronger in our county vote Republican.

McLean County cannot afford an unchecked rise in government spending and demands on taxpayers.

Since Democrats took control of the County Board, the figures in our graphic show the **county property-tax levy rising 23.2%** and the **total county budget growing 22.9%** over the periods presented.

These increases deserve scrutiny. Families balancing their own budgets deserve leaders who make affordability, careful spending, and accountability priorities.

**We have 20 days left to choose a different direction.** Elect Republican candidates committed to fiscal restraint, protecting essential services, and respecting your hard-earned money.

Great observation and video clip from last night's county candidate forum. Crocket admitted that our clerk Kathy Michael runs safe elections. He also admits that he does not support voter ID security sought by over 80% of the country. There are serious questions he has failed to answer about the costs both to our finances and the security of our elections that his proposals would bring.
Why try to fix what is not broken. Great track record over time.
Vote for Kathy Michael to keep the election security with Crocket himself knows is in place.
