Graduation will be streamed LIVE by Bloomington Educational Community Television (BEC-TV).
They can be viewed Live or Later via Stream, Apple TV, Roku, Bloomington Cable, or Facebook.

🦅Class of 2026 - Graduation is tomorrow, Friday, June 5th. All graduates need to take the bus to US Bank stadium. Start getting on the bus at 12:30 at POND Center, behind the Activity Center and tennis courts. The last bus will leave at 12:45 - don’t be late as the buses can’t wait!

Graduates - check your school email for a link from Ms. Mezera with your Row & Seat Assignment, and look for your spot on the field.

Some reminders:
* 1:30 be with your row in the tunnels ready to line up, get last minute directions
* 2:00 the ceremony will begin
* You should bring nothing with you on the bus.
* You’ll go through security, including metal detectors on the way into the stadium
* You need to wear a zipped gown, cap, and tassel on the right side of the cap.
* 30 minutes after the end of the ceremony the bus will leave where it drops you off (Pentair Gate). It is optional to ride the bus home.

Finals start today, Eagles!

Special block schedule with periods 1-3-5 on Thursday and Period 2-4-6 on Friday. Students can leave after the final bell at 12:00 or stay for lunch until the buses leave at 12:25.

There are no after school activities - all students need to leave school at 12:25.

Please help us congratulate Senior Jada Miskell for being awarded the Gates Scholarship!

The Gates Scholarship, funded by the Gates Foundation, is one of the most prestigious and selective scholarship programs for outstanding high school seniors in the United States.

61,000 students (😳!) applied to be a Gates scholar and Jada was one of 750 students selected! The Gates Scholarship will allow Jada to attend any college or university of her choice!

In addition to being an awesome human and phenomenal scholar, Jada was also secretary of National Honor Society and Captain of Girls Cross Country.

Jada - YOU are Eagle Excellence and we are so proud of you!

🚨 🚨 STATE BOUND + 🚨🚨 NEW SCHOOL RECORD!

What a day for Kennedy Boys Track and Field!

Braden Rhodes punched his ticket to state for the second year in a row, finishing 2nd in the 400m with a blazing time of 48.45, breaking the new school record he just set by over a full second!!

Ryan Kruger is heading to state for the second year in a row in the Long Jump and Triple Jump!
Long Jump: 21-05.75
Triple jump: 44-04.50

Graham Wood will make his State Meet debut after a tremendous performance in the 1600m, placing 4th with a time of 4:21.79!

Congratulations to these incredible athletes for their hard work, dedication and performances.

It was a celebratory week at Kennedy! We honored some amazing Seniors at our Evening of Excellence ceremony. Awards were given to the 10% of the Senior class, members of National Honor Society, Bilingual Seal recipients, and scholarship winners. We are so grateful for all our community partners for their generous financial support of our students.

A special shout-out to for all of their support! We appreciate you so much!

🦅 The Eagle Award was given to Jasmine Perez and Leslie Ciriaco Mundo for their leadership of .latinxclub and our community this year. We will miss these two amazing humans so much!!

🎶 We also celebrated the Seniors in our instrumental music program, along with all of our instrumental musicians, at the Groovin' Sci-fi Pops Concert! Lots of joyful moments...check out Elijah and Amos on the cymbals!!

🚨 🪊🪊 All-State Symphonic Band!! Please help us congratulate Junior Sam Kaufman for being selected to represent Kennedy in the 2026-2027 MN All-State Symphonic Band!! Between 1400-1600 musicians auditioned for a coveted spot in one of the seven all-state bands! Sam will attend a summer camp directed by Dr. Kenneth Green at Concordia Moorhead in late July and also perform at Orchestra Hall in February 2027! 💫

Sam, Jasmine, Leslie and all of the Seniors and musicians honored this week, YOU are Eagle Excellence and we are so proud of you!

🚨🚨 STATE CHAMPIONS!
🚨🚨 A RENOVATED COURTYARD!

It was a feel-good weekend at Kennedy!

Please help us congratulate the South Suburban Flyers Adapted Softball team for winning their FIRST EVER state championship on Saturday!

Just to get to their first title game since 2004, the Flyers snapped the no. 1 seed Dakota United's 69-game winning streak and was the first team to beat them since 2018!!

Two special shout-outs:

First, to Kennedy senior and Flyers captain, Jimmy Trenary, for leading the team and being named to the All-Tournament team! ❤️

Second, to first-year South Suburban head coach and Kennedy staff member, PJ Starr, for his awesome coaching and never-ending belief in this team!! ❤️

South Suburban is a co-op between Kennedy, Jefferson, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield.

THAT'S NOT ALL!

After hundreds of hours of planning and fundraising for over 2 years by , the courtyard renovation planting took place over the weekend. Over 65 student and community volunteers planted just under 2,000 plants in a day and a half!

All plants are native MN trees, shrubs, sedge, flowers and grasses that will grow and bloom for years to come. Students were involved in the courtyard design and plant selection!

We are incredibly grateful to our financial partners: Nine Mile Creek, Hennepin County, MN River Audubon Society, Kennedy's Green Club and Bloomington Neighbors Nurturing Nature. This would not have been possible without their support! Special shout-outs to Heidi and Dan Niziolek for their unending support and tenacity! ❤️

This has been such in inspiring community effort! May peace prevail on Earth indeed.
