After 13 years serving as Chief of the Blountstown Police Department, Chief Mark Mallory will be stepping down effective November 1st to pursue another career opportunity.
Chief Mallory’s law enforcement career began right here at the Blountstown Police Department as a patrol officer. He later served with both the Calhoun County and Liberty County Sheriff’s Offices before returning to BPD as Chief of Police 13 years ago.
During his time as Chief, our department has seen tremendous growth, and his leadership has played an important role in shaping our agency into what it is today. We are grateful for the years he has dedicated to this department and to serving the citizens of Blountstown.
As we move forward through this transition, Captain Adam Terry will serve as Interim Chief while our agency transitions to new leadership.
From all of us at the Blountstown Police Department, thank you, Chief Mallory, for your years of service, leadership, and commitment to our department and community. We wish you nothing but the best in your next chapter!
