Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced one of its darkest days. Today, we remember the victims, honor the first responders, and recognize the countless acts of courage and kindness that followed.

CJC honors the memory of those we lost and reflects on the resilience, unity, and strength that emerged in the face of tragedy. May we never forget the sacrifices made and the lessons of compassion, service, and community that continue to guide us today.

Fireworks are a holiday tradition, but they can cause serious injuries in an instant. According to the NFPA, hands and fingers account for 28% of fireworks injuries, followed by legs (24%) and eyes (19%). More than 44% of injuries are burns.

Before lighting fireworks this weekend:
✅ Keep a safe distance from spectators
✅ Never allow children to handle fireworks
✅ Wear safety glasses when lighting fireworks
✅ Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby
✅ Never relight a malfunctioning firework
✅ Consider attending a professional fireworks display instead

Let's make this Independence Day weekend memorable for the right reasons. Stay safe, protect your family, and enjoy the celebration responsibly!
