Bluefield Sanitary Board The Bluefield Sanitary Board page is intended to provide the citizens of Bluefield with cur Bluefield Sanitary Board has two Treatment Plants.

The mission of the Bluefield Sanitary Board is to provide customers with high quality, cost effective sanitary sewer services by collecting and treating all wastewater generated from Bluefield WV , Bluefield VA and Brushfork WV service areas and in accordance with applicable Local, State, and Federal permit requirements. Our crews are out in your community every day working hard to improve and repair the wastewater infrastructure in Bluefield WV, Bluefield VA and Brushfork WV. These improvement/repair projects help to protect the health and safety of you and your neighbors, as well as reduce the risk of environmental impacts associated with a failing infrastructure. Westside Treatment Plant located at 203 Parsley Street Bluefield Va and Ada Treatment Plant located at Rt 112 Bluefield WV. Westside Treatment Plant is designed to treat 8.3 million gallons of sewer a day, and the Ada Treatment Plant is designed to treat 1.2 million gallons of sewer a day. Approximately 350 miles of sanitary sewer lines combined in Bluefield, WV, Bluefield, VA & Brushfork, WV.

Our payment options through on line or by phone are not operational at this time. Payments by debit/credit card must be keyed into our system manually by us. If you need to make a payment, you must either come into the office or call during our regular business hours. An update will be posted here when those options are once again available. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Our pay center is once again operating as normal. Water disconnects for delinquent accounts will begin tomorrow as planned.

The company who processes our credit and debit cards have our payment system shut down, due to technical issues on their side. We do not have any further information from them at this time. In the event that the system is not back online soon, we will delay disconnects until Wednesday.

🚧 NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN STARTING MONDAY 🚧

Citizens of Bluefield, please be aware of a new traffic pattern beginning Monday.

College Avenue will be closed from Ferndale to Maryland Avenue, and a portion of Copley Street will also be closed. Please use caution, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detours.

Please be advised that **College Avenue will be closed between the Leatherwood and Ferndell intersections Monday through Friday.**

Crews will be conducting work daily from **8:00 AM to 8:00 PM**. College Avenue will fully reopen at the end of the day Friday. Please use caution when traveling in the area due to **heavy equipment and construction activity.** ⚠️

**Resident access:**

***Cherrywood & Augusta Street Extension residents:** Please enter and exit College Avenue from the Virginia side.

***College Avenue residents:** Please use the access point closest to your home.
