There is always a little extra excitement at Bluemont when the fire trucks pull in! 🚒

October is National Fire Prevention Month, and we were happy to welcome the crew from Loudoun County Fire and Rescue, Round Hill Station 4, back to Bluemont Community Center!

Our preschool and child care children learned important fire safety tips, practiced what to do in an emergency, met firefighters in their gear, and got an up-close look at the fire trucks and equipment!

A big thank you to the Station 4 crew for spending time with our children and teaching them about fire safety, and for everything you do to keep our community safe every day!

Bluemont Fair weekend is almost here!

As the fair takes over the village of Bluemont, there will be plenty happening in and around the Community Center property. Visitors can enjoy model trains, live music, dancing, craft demonstrations, juried crafts, and so much more throughout the weekend!

Bluemont Community Center will also be hosting the Children's Fair behind the center, filled with free games, crafts, face painting, fair-themed temporary tattoos, jumbo stacking cups, checkers, and plenty of fun for our youngest fairgoers!

Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We cannot wait to welcome everyone back for one of our favorite weekends of the year!

Looking for something fun, safe, and engaging for your teen to do on their days off from school? Bluemont CC’s Teens Day Out programs are the perfect way for teens to hang out with friends in a supervised, positive environment, enjoy games, sports, and creative activities, visit local attractions, and try new experiences!

Designed for ages 12-15, participants will be met with age‑appropriate activities and staff who keep teens active, involved, and having fun.

Looking for a first preschool experience for your little one? Bluemont Community Center still has space available in our 2026-2027 Preschool class for ages 2.5-3!

Our supportive classroom gives children an introduction to a school setting while helping them build confidence, independence, and important early learning skills. Through the STREAMin³ curriculum, children learn through play, hands-on activities, stories, music, movement, and daily routines that support their social, communication, and developmental skills.

Classes begin in September, but it’s not too late to join us!

Dance into fall at Bluemont Community Center! We’re excited to welcome JST Athletics and Dance to Bluemont this fall with new dance classes for ages 4 to 12! Whether your dancer is just getting started or ready to learn some new moves, there’s something for them:

Creative Movement | Ages 4-5, Fridays, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
Intro to Ballet | Ages 5-7, Fridays, 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.
Hip Hop I | Ages 5-7, Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:15 p.m.
Hip Hop I | Ages 8-12, Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.

From creative movement and ballet basics to high-energy hip hop, these classes are all about building confidence, learning new skills, and having fun along the way. Classes begin in September and space may be limited, so register early!

And just like that, our regular summer camp season has come to an end at Bluemont Community Center!

Our Camp Bluemont groups spent the summer playing games, creating crafts, trying new activities, and making new friends! A huge thank you to our amazing camp staff for making it all possible!

Our Camp on the Road crew had another awesome summer exploring near and far! From caves and caverns to ropes courses, museums, pools, the National Aquarium, Hersheypark, and more, campers tried new things, conquered a few fears, and made plenty of memories along the way.

We are not quite finished yet! Finale Week begins next week, bringing our campers together for one last week of summer fun.

Thank you to our campers, families, and staff for another memorable summer at Bluemont!

As summer begins to wind down, we are looking ahead to another great season at Bluemont Community Center.

Fall registration opens tomorrow, Thursday, August 6, 6:30 a.m.

We are offering activities for all ages, including new classes and vendor-led programs in dance, cooking, art, music, sewing, and more. You will also find returning favorites, school holiday programs, teen trips, and special community events throughout the season.
