Only use manufacturer-approved chargers and never charge batteries near exits where a fire could block your escape.

Check that the pressure gauge is in the green zone, the pin is intact, and the extinguisher is easily accessible.
A fire extinguisher won't help if it isn't ready when you need it.

Never microwave metal, and keep an eye on food that could overheat. If something catches fire inside, keep the door closed and unplug the microwave if it's safe to do so.

Lint can build up inside the vent pipe behind your dryer, restricting airflow and creating a fire hazard. Take a few minutes this month to inspect and clean the entire vent system.
