Another busy and rewarding day traveling throughout Beaufort County!
This morning, I had the opportunity to spend time with the Forge Stronger Foundations group at The Full Game Breakfast Experience in Bluffton. It was a great event and an even better opportunity to listen to leaders from across our community. Strong communities are built through strong relationships, collaboration, and a willingness to listen.
Later, I attended the groundbreaking for the new Veterans Affairs Clinic in Port Royal. This is an important investment in Beaufort County and a tremendous resource for the veterans who have served our country.
This afternoon, I joined community members at National Night Out at John Parker Park. Thank you to the Port Royal Police Department for hosting such a great event and for the work they do every day to build relationships and keep our communities safe.
I finished the day at the County and City Council candidate forums at the USCB Center for the Arts. I appreciated hearing directly from those seeking to serve our community and learning more about their visions for Beaufort County.
As I continue this campaign for Sheriff, one thing becomes clearer every day: public safety doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes strong relationships between the Sheriff’s Office, municipal police departments, elected officials, community leaders, businesses, schools, and—most importantly—the people we serve.
The Sheriff’s Office has an important role in bringing those relationships together and working with partners at every level to address crime, traffic safety, drugs, and the challenges facing our growing community.
Days like today are busy, but they are also a reminder of why I am running. I want to serve the community I call home, build upon the strong foundation already in place, and help make sure the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is ready to meet the needs of our community today and tomorrow.
20 years of continuous service to Beaufort County. READY TO LEAD ON DAY ONE.
