Through the IHCDA CreatINg Places grant, we can qualify for a matching grant of $50,000 doubling the impact of community contributions and helping us reach the project’s funding goal. Your investment will help transform an underutilized downtown space into a vibrant, welcoming gathering place for residents, businesses, and visitors. Flooding continues in Wells and Adams County. The Wabash River is currently at 12.43 feet, at a minor flood stage. It is currently still slowly receding. With the street fair in town, it is causing some issues traveling east around downtown. Try to avoid this area until the Wayne St & River Rd intersection reopens. Continue to avoid flooded areas and flood debris. The Keho Park area will be closed to the public this week. We are forecasted to drop below flood stage Thursday, September 24 at 8 pm. Any rain this week would change this timeline, so we will keep everyone updated as more details come forth.

Please keep our friends in Decatur in your thoughts as they are dealing with a significant flooding event. The St. Mary's River is at 23.58 feet, near major flood stage, impacting several areas throughout town.

Currently the Wabash River is at 15.32 ft and slowly falling. It crested last night at 15.57 ft. This will continue to affect several roadways in the Bluffton and Wells County area along with the neighboring communities. We are watching the flood levels right now as the upstream Lynn Grove gauge is still showing that the river is rising in Adams County. We are also paying attention to the rain forecasted for Saturday.

Please be safe and stay out of the flooding.
