The City of Bluffton is organizing pickup of flood-related sandbags for residents within city limits who need assistance after the flooding in Wells County last week.

BLUFFTON RESIDENTS: NEED YOUR SANDBAGS PICKED UP?

If you used sandbags during the recent flooding and need help getting them picked up, the City of Bluffton is organizing a pickup process for residents within City limits.

🟢 Don’t move them yet!
Please keep your filled sandbags at your property until you receive instructions for pickup.

📋 First step: Complete the Sandbag Pickup Request Form

We need a few details from you, including:
📍 Your address
🛍️ The number of sandbags you have
📸 Other information to help our team coordinate pickup

🌧️ Flood Recovery: Replacing Lost or Damaged Birth Certificates

As our community continues recovering from the recent flooding, we know some families may have lost or had important documents damaged.

If your Indiana birth certificate was lost or damaged in the flooding, you can request a replacement copy through the Wells County Health Department if you were born in Indiana.

💵 Replacement birth certificate: $15

🕗 Office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

📍 Please bring a valid form of identification when requesting a copy.

If you were born outside of Indiana, you will need to contact the vital records office in the state where you were born.

💙 We understand that replacing important documents is one more thing to deal with during an already difficult time. If you have questions about obtaining a replacement birth certificate, please contact the Wells County Health Department and we’ll be happy to help.
