Hi everyone,

Just to give you an update about the pesky mosquitoes. We trapped Boardman on Monday and fogged Boardman on Wednesday night. We trapped in Irrigon on Wednesday and fogged on Thursday. We are scheduling our fogging according to our trapping results and service requests from you either by phone 541-481-6082 or our website at nmvector.org
According to the weather app. we will trap both Irrigon and Boardman on Tuesday night and fog both on Wednesday night. The weatherman is predicting unfavorable fogging conditions for all of next week except Wednesday. If the weather changes for the better we will always squeeze in a spray. Winds cannot be over 10 mph or temps below 60 degrees in order to fog for mosquitoes.

🛑 STOP THE SWARM: Is Your Yard a Mosquito Nursery? 🦟

It only takes one teaspoon of standing water and a few days for a batch of mosquitoes to take over your yard. If you’re tired of being the main course at your own BBQ, it’s time for a 10-minute yard sweep!😎

The "Tip 'n Toss" Challenge:

✅Clear the Pools: Remove unused pools and keep pools that are in use cleaned/maintained.

✅Check the Saucers: Empty water from under your flower pots.

✅Clean the Gutters: Clogged leaves = mosquito mansions.

✅Flip the Toys: Buckets, wagons, and plastic toys love to collect rain.

✅Refresh the Bath: Change birdbath water every few days to keep it fresh and larvae-free.

✅Tip the Tires: Look for water in tires laying around your property that get hit by sprinklers or fill with water from rain.

✅Target the Tarps: Check for pools of water on grill covers, boat covers or woodpiles.

Why bother? Eliminating breeding sites is 10x more effective than sprays or candles. Plus, it keeps our neighborhood safe from West Nile and other mosquito-borne diseases.
