📣 Calling all mental health professionals!

We are looking for licensed mental health volunteers to help support communities during disasters. If you or someone you know holds a master’s degree and a current, unencumbered mental health license — or recently retired (within the last 5 years) — we’d love to connect.

Disaster Mental Health volunteers provide emotional support, teach coping skills, identify urgent needs and help connect people with local resources. Your training can make a meaningful difference for disaster survivors and fellow responders.

🌟 THANKFUL THURSDAY

A heartfelt thank‑you to the incredible partners across Idaho who opened their doors for our recent Thunderbolt sheltering exercises:

Idaho Partners

🏠 Shoshone-Bannock Tribes
🏠 Nez Perce County Fairgrounds – Lewiston

Your support strengthens our ability to provide safe, welcoming shelters when communities need us most. Thunderbolt is our no‑notice, rapid‑response drill that helps us practice opening multiple shelters quickly so we’re ready to respond when real emergencies strike.

Thank you for helping build more prepared and resilient communities. ❤️

When new recruits take the big step toward basic training, Treasure Valley volunteer Clarence Garrett is there to support them — and the families who stand beside them.

A Navy veteran himself, Clarence helps Idaho military families understand how the Hero Care Network can deliver emergency messages, provide resources and offer reassurance during deployments.

Read how he’s making sure no one faces military life’s toughest moments alone. ❤️

Canyon County Paramedics are now the first ground EMS program in Idaho to deliver whole‑blood transfusions on scene, a step shown to improve survival and reduce the amount of blood needed later in the hospital.

This program is powered by a partnership between Canyon County Paramedics, Saint Alphonsus Health System and the American Red Cross, helping trauma patients get critical care when every second counts.

❤️ Thank you to our partners and the incredible blood donors who make lifesaving moments like this possible.
