McMillan Elementary School

It is officially the last week of school, and we have some fun things happening over at McMillan! Check out these flyers to see the dress-up days for this week and for more information about our family picnic on the last day of school!

A huge shout out to our community liaison, Trudy McMullen, our PE teacher, Dawn Nistal, and the Rotary club. They organized a “glow up” for our playground. Our students are going to be so excited on Monday. Stay tuned. 

Congratulations to one of our amazing kitchen queens, Anita Booher, on her retirement! She has been at McMillan for 30 years and we could not be more grateful for all that she has done! We wish her the best in this new phase of life!

Join us this Thursday, April 30th, from 5-7 PM as we "Dig Into Learning" and show all the amazing things we are learning at McMillan!

There will be pizza, cookies, and a scavenger hunt! Also, every student who attends will get to go home with a free book! We can't wait to see you there!

Our very own Grethe Wood and Libby Hansen had the honor of celebrating their Employee of the Year awards tonight with West Ada!

Mrs. Wood was also honored as Teacher of the Year for the north side elementary schools! Way to represent McMillan!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Master Lee's Taekwondo School for not only teaching our students some awesome skills during P.E. class, but also for donating $560 to our P.E. Department!

Next week is National School Breakfast week and our kitchen queens are preparing a very special breakfast for our students. Stay tuned to see the fun things they have in store!

We had a great time at our Barn Dance last weekend! Way to go Eagles for showing up and showing your best moves!!

Yeehaw! This Friday, McMillan is hosting our second annual family dance. This year's theme is a Western Barn Dance. So grab your boots and bring your family to McMillan on February 20th from 6:00-7:30 pm for a night of music, dancing, and boot-scootin' good times!
